Staff Trials: No Bueno

I have decided that these trials just may be the most boring thing on earth.  I personally can not imagine anything that could be a bigger time sink with less excitement.  I have literally found the end of the internet.  Would you know what I found there?  My blog!  Lucy for you!

I'm on the thunder damage affinity staff currently, Trial 1682.  I only have 112 beetles left to slaughter my goal is by tomorrow night I will be done and can hunt fungar for the weekend.  Until then I need to know, what do you do while you are doing your staff trials?  I need to know, I'm falling asleep!

Abyssea Feetsies!

So these are the feetsies I am after for now. I have been spending quite a bit of my time on bard so it is largely for completion. I also have a bit of a secret hope that with the impending update and level increases we will actually be able to +3 our empyrean armour *crosses fingers* I would hate to have to start from scratch if the upgrade was a game breaker!

Lowbie Luxury: A farming guide for all levels

Level 1 - 10
East Sarutabaruta

• Wild onions - Goblin Thug - sell on auction house
• Honey & beehive chips - Bee's - sell on auction house
• Bomb arm & ash - sell on auction house
• Shall shell - pug pugil - sell on auction house
• Land crab meat - river crab - these sell for about 270 gil to npc, check AH prices first.
• Silk thread - sell on auction house

Special notes

• Yaguda necklaces - Yaguda - desynth with a wind crystal to make grass thread or with a lighning crystal to make copper ignot (this also allows them to stack)
• Goblin Armor - Goblins - desynth with lighning crystals to make cotton thread
• Goblin Mask - Goblins - desynth with wind crystals to make sheep leather

These options usually sell for more but also allow you to stack the items saving inventory space. the crafting levels are also very low (< 10).

Wolf Gorget - Level 39

Earth crystal + Cotton thread + Wolf Hide

• The best day to craft with earth crystals is windsday or darksday due to reduced loss of materials and increase in skill gain.
• Faces South east during synthesis.
• These can be sold to NPC for just over 600 gil
  
• Wolf Hide is easily farmed at nearly any level.

Waistbelt - Level 43

Wind crystal + Ram leather (x2) + Grass thread

• The best day to craft with wind crystals is Ice day or darksday due to reduced loss of material and increase in skill gain.
• Face East during synthesis.
• These sell but still slowly.
• Grass Cloth drops from Goblin Weavers, which very low levels and easily farmed.

Ram Mantle - Level 49

Ice crystal + Ram skin + Wool thread

• The best day to craft with ice crystals are Firesday, Iceday or Darksday, due to a reduced loss of material and increase in skill gain.
• Face north west during synthesis.
• Unless you have invested some levels into clothcraft this will have to be purchased by either NPC or on the Auction house
• Farm the skins to save money.
• This is a larger jump so use advanced support however, the materials are much cheaper then other alternatives.
  
• These do sell on the auction house but if you have the inventory or mule space save these for later use.

Sandals - Level 29

Wind crystal + Dhalmel Leather + Sheep Leather

• The best day to craft with wind crystals is Ice day or darksday due to reduced loss of material and increase in skill gain.
• Face East during synthesis.
• These will eventually sell on the auction house though slowly. You can also NPC them for a little over 600 - 1000 gil. If you have max fame it is less of a headache to just NPC them.

Parchment - Level 31

Dark crystal + Rolalberry + Sheep leather

• The best day to craft with dark crystals is Lightsday or Darksday due to a reduced loss of material and increase in skill gain.
• Face north east during synthesis.
• farm up and craft the leather.
• Rolanberrys can be purchased for 120 gil at NPC or you can grow them.
  
• This sells well on the auction house and there should be no trouble making a profit.

Ram Leather - Level 35

Dark crystal + Ram skin + Distilled water + Windurstian tea leaves

• The best day to craft with dark crystals is Lightsday or Darksday due to a reduced loss of material and increase in skill gain.
• Face north east during synthesis.
• Tea leaves can by bought from an NPC in windy at 20 gil, a fraction of the cost of a willow log. They can also be acquired by gardening. The tea leaves are the most cost effective option for skilling up.
• Distilled water can be purchased from NPC's for around 11 gil a piece.
  
• Keep the leather for use later.

Leather Gorget - Level 37

• Distilled water can be purchased from NPC's for around 11 gil a piece.
• Farm the skins, if you have access, to save money.
  
• This leather cannot be used for quite some time. I suggest selling these as the inventory space is more valuable.

Dhalmel Mantle - Level 27

Ice crystal + Wool thread + Dhalmel Hide

• The best day to craft with dark crystals is Firesday or Darksday due to a reduced loss of material and increase in skill gain.
• Face north west during synthesis.
• Wool thread is level 25 cloth craft if you have already leveled it. Otherwise purchase this from the auction house. Even purchasing the thread you should be able to break even by selling the mantles.
• Farm the Dhalmel Hides
• Keep one to hand in as the test item.

Solea - Level 11

Wind crystal + Sheep leather (x2)

• The best day to craft with wind crystals is Iceday or Darksday due to reduced loss of material and increase in skill gain.
• Face East during synthesis.
• These will eventually sell on the auction house though slowly. You can also NPC them for a little over 120 gil.
• You can desynth and resynth these with lightning crystals however, the materials are so cheap that with the cost of lightning crystals coupled with the chance of failure it is not cost effective.

Fisherman's Golves - Level 14

Earth crystal + Cotton cloth + Lizard skin (x2)

• The best day to craft with earth crystals is windsday or darksday due to reduced loss of materials and increase in skill gain.
• Faces South east during synthesis.
• These sell a bit better but still slowly.
• Cotton Cloth drops from Goblin Weavers, which were previously farmed for the grass cloth.
• Farm up as much of the lizard skins as possible
  
• Because of the low cost of the materials it is not recommended to use lightning crystals to desynth as they cost more then the product.
  
• These sell for a decent profit tho a bit slow. Don't flood the auction house but be persistent and you should make a nice profit.
  

Lizard Jerkin - Level 19

Earth crystal + Sheep leather + Lizard skin (x3)

• The best day to craft with earth crystals is windsday or darksday due to reduced loss of materials and increase in skill gain.
• Faces South east during synthesis.
• These sell a bit better but still slowly.
• Because of the low cost of the materials it is not recommended to use lightning crystals to desynth as they cost more then the product.
  
• These NPC for just under 250 gil.
